Time at the Park

Jack LOVES being outside! I think he would be out there from sun up to sun down if we would let him. It's tough because I don't really like playing in our yard, mostly due to the remnants left by Ozzie, but also the steep hills make it hard for a crawling baby (let alone one trying to learn to walk).  I'm trying to be good a picking up after Ozzie, but I just can't get it out of my mind, even when the poop is gone.

So, we try to go to the park often.  A lot of times there are kids playing out on the soccer fields, or Arapahoe High School's lacrosse team is out practicing, but we can usually find someplace to camp out.  And we try to spend a little time on the swing because Jack seems to enjoy it so much.  A couple weeks ago, I took this video while we were at the park, and just wanted to share!

He loved pushing his stroller around, but I only shared a little clip of the fun.

Family Portrait

We decided that now was a good time to get a family portrait taken of the Buckmaster's. The primary thought process here was that it would likely be a little easier to accomplish this goal now, as opposed to when Jack is fully mobile and won't sit still. So, about a month ago, we contacted Intrigue Photoraphy and scheduled a photo session.

Because the spring colors hadn't quite come to life, we decided to go for more of an "urban" feel, trying to get some color into the photos that way. It was fun to do something a little different for us, but we were all admittedly a little worried because Jack certainly was not his smily self during the shoot. Though Carrie was trying her best, and pulled out all the stops, Jack just didn't know what to think about all that was going on.

Well, the worry was all for naught. The pictures of course turned out great, and we had a tough time narrowing it down to 25 to be touched up and edited. So, without further ado, here are a couple favorites.  More can be seen in the Picasa album.
