Spike it!

Tonight, Jack aggressively threw down his ring toy, and Sonia commented on how he'd spiked the toy to the ground.  Jack found this hilarious.  Watch, and giggle right along with us.

Usually when Jack does something this great, we are too late to get the video camera out.  But this time he played along for some extra time so we could catch it on tape.  And we are so glad he did.  We all laughed so hard for about 5 minutes.

Piece de Resistance

I'm sure you can tell by the pictures, but Jack is a hungry hungry hippo.  His forearms are like Popeye, its really cute.  At his last doctors checkup he was about 92 percentile in weight.  He's a really good eater, and has loved all sorts of fruits and veggies, especially the bland old rice cereal.  The funny part about his love of eating is he likes to put up a little resistance to sitting in his high chair.  It doesn't last long, maybe 30 seconds to a minute, but he just likes to stand there and lock up his legs and look at you with a little smirk on his face.  He seems to be pretty entertained by it.  Here's a sampling of his obstinance...

Jack in his inmate stripes refusing to be locked down.

 We've gotten better at just laughing with him and waiting it out, even if we're already late for work.

The joys that come with sitting

Yesterday, Jack and I went to have lunch with Justin.  When we got to the restaurant, I pulled Jack out of his car seat, and he sat in a high chair next to us at the table.  Today, we had to do a little shopping, and Jack got to enjoy sitting in the shopping cart for the first time.  And he LOVED it!  He had so much fun watching everyone, reaching for things just outside the cart (I'm sure this will be fun for all of 2 shopping trips), and loved to sort of bounce in his seat.  So adorable!

Ozzie = Still Jealous

We arrived home from work yesterday to find this mangled stuffed animal. Ozzie had destroyed Jack's new toy, the one given to him by us on Christmas. Guess it wasn't meant to last long in our house. This is how I think it went down:

Ozzie grabbed this defenseless toy dog and drug it upstairs. This is where he began by ripping its heart out, along with a fair bit of stuffing (also the location we found said heart). Then he took the dog back downstairs, ripped out more stuffing and chewed on some wires. And finally realizing how mad we were going to be, Ozzie then took it into the backyard and tried to hide the evidence (either that or he just figured that's where he'd finish him off). Nice! Real Nice!

Maybe one day Ozzie will just accept his role and the changes that have occurred over the last year. Until then, we get to enjoy these little surprises. Anyone in the market for a poorly behaved Weim? Yeah, me either.
